I loved this book. It is dark and goofy and smart. I just love the pictures and the character's speech patterns come through so clearly in the writing. The world is fleshed out and interesting. I rushed to my local comic-book store to grab book 2.
I will say, without spoiling anything, it did not age well during the pandemic, so go into it with that mindset.

Interesting premise, and I really liked the art style.  It was perfectly gritty and really complemented the words on the page.  But, this first volume just didn't make me care enough about the plot or characters to move onto volume 2 any time soon.  Glad I gave this a try though.  It had been on my TBR forever!
