Not for the faint of heart (or stomach). While definitely a fun read, I struggled not to gag a couple of times.

An interesting comic but I didn't enjoy it. I was totally creeped out.

4.5 stars I liked this one, it was full of action and gory. The story line was interesting and I am for sure am going to read the next one but not just yet. Now I am gonna go back my novel i am half way through. lol.

I loved the writing but hated the art. The writing is compelling enough for me to want to read more. Hoo boy.

Chew has been the talk of the comic book world lately, and another massive hit for Image comics. As an adorer of any food-related fiction (or non-fiction), I decided to give it a go.

After I finished reading this first installment, I was still very hungry. Chew has most of my favorite ingredients to make a great comic book;

1 Original premise
1 Decent plot
1 Tbsp interesting characters
1 Tbsp cool character dynamics
1 Tbsp political statement
1 Tbsp great action and fun
1 Tbsp weird, disgusting moments
1 Superb art
Salt and Pepper

Give all of these a good blend and season to taste with a few unsolved mysteries. Salt and pepper to taste; there you have it. A great book that will leave you wanting more. In fact, I only gave it 4 stars because I have very high hopes for the next installments.

Is it crazy to say that after the first issue I became kind of desensitized to the flesh eating
