was expecting to like this but not as much as i did. jacinda tells her story in a way that just pulls you in & keeps you wanting more. i could listen to this audiobook for another several hours. what a career she’s had, particularly as PM, and love the way she intertwines her own humanity and personal life into stories of policymaking throughout some particularly tough times for new zealand

Obviously still really admire her as a leader, but found the memoir a bit lacking. I think I wanted more details about her time in office and the issues she wrestled with. Some of the insight and wisdom was good, but a lot of it felt more surface level or predictable. The whole thing just felt like it was written to be very palatable, and that made it a bit bland. I wanted to know more about the times she wasn’t the best version of herself and how she worked through that.
