Wow. This book is incredible. Jacinda Ardern is incredible. As a young woman beginning a career in politics myself, who also struggles with anxiety, self-doubt, and imposter syndrome, Ardern’s story is intensely relatable and overwhelmingly encouraging. The wisdom she imparts through her story is invaluable and the lessons she learned from dedicating her life to leadership are critical to leaders everywhere. This book is a reminder that being human is all we can be and kindness is the biggest strength in leadership. Beginning in the prologue, Ardern’s voice and style was incredibly compelling. I absolutely adore this memoir.

“The things you thought would cripple you will in fact make you stronger, make you better. They will give you a different kind of power, and make you a leader that this world, with all its turmoil, might just need.” (333)
