Good follow-up to the other Cletus & Jenn spinoff book. Got some things answered, but left some unanswered. That ending was so sweet!

This one wasn’t my favorite. I do love the characters and the plot but it just seems to drag a little bit.

On reread, I felt the miscommunications and some of Jen's worries strange. I still love the family but back to back to back, I think I found the books a little wordy. I do hope we'll get more soon.

Just my favorite people to follow around and the mystery was good, too. I love being with Cletus and Jenn, some of the miscommunication was a little annoying but I can also understand. I wish I was bff with the Winston family because they seem like the best people to have in your corner. Can't wait for the next one!

3.5. The problem with coming back to beloved characters in full length novels after their original story is finished is that you have to recapture that original magic. And although I think Penny Reid does that more successfully here then in Engagement and Espionage, it still isn't the magic that is Beard Science. That being said, anything in Green Valley is pure comfort reading and still completely enjoyable.

It is always a pleasure visiting Green Valley. The characters, well most of the characters, are a joy to read about. What was really nice about this story was the author getting rid of some the yucky characters.

Cletus and Jenn are the perfect couple. She gets him and he gets himself. When things start crumbling she couldn't have asked for a better guy to have buy her side.
