I got to maybe the 30th step and realized I was not going to make it to 468. The book started off good but it started to get monotonous.

A humorous look at how hard it really is to be responsible.

I probably should have read this when I added it to this list in like 2013 instead of now because I'm 30 and kind of have some things figured out at this point.

This book is funny. It’s only funny because it’s true, and it’s not my problem anymore.

Funny and informative. Highly recommend this book to anyone who is just graduating and moving into the "real world"
informative medium-paced

Predictably U.S.-centric, especially in references to brand names, locations only USians will know, and the supposed grocery staples in the cooking chapter. This was less egregious the middle, from about Chapter 4, then returned intermittently to varying degrees.

Much of the advice is sensible and straightforward, and the little cartoons functioned nicely to break up the list. The humour didn’t really land for me, though. Jokey comparisons of ethnic cleansing with anything at all just are not funny, even when made in an ironic sense. Nor are comments on EFL speakers’ struggles with English. I can’t say I’d recommend it to anyone I know given the above drawbacks.
