maybe more of a 3.5?
this first season was quite cute! the world is quite interesting and I adore the art style!! though I am not super invested currently.
I want to read season 2 and at the same time I don't want to cause the story is on indefinite hiatus (I understand and respect the authors reasoning for doing this), and I'm afraid that I'll get too attached to the characters and story and then there will be no more story for me and there may never be more (which once again is ok I very much respect and understand the authors decision).
I might go read the authors other comic eventually tho.

Ps: this Webtoon is not officially finished, just put on a hiatus. However, the author isn't planning on picking it up in the near future, if ever, so I'm setting this to "read", until there'll be updates of a continuation! So far, there are 2 seasons; last episode of s2 has been posted in August 2019 and the announcement of the hiatus in February 2020.

My thoughts about s1 and s2:
I love magic and witches, so this was the reason I picked it up in the first place. Also - big reason - the cover shows a lesbian couple, so I definitely subscribed!
The art amazed me right away, in the first episode. It fits the story so, so well and I really can't get enough of it. So beautiful and gorgeous!!
The second thing I liked immediately was the protagonist's familiar – a talking crow, with awesome humor. She has the familiar because she can't read (disability) and that's also another thing – disabilities have nice representation!
I thought at first the cover shows the protagonist with the owner of the shop (Cecily) and I really really wouldn't want to get all the cliches, but luckily, they never came! Because, guess what, I'm blind and didn't realize that the cover image doesn't show the protagonist, but instead another character that will be introduced in the middle of season 1! Phew. should get my eyes checked maybe, lol-

Anyways, I could tell you way more about what I liked, but i don't want to spoiler. Read it for yourself! Ngl, I'm mostly recommending it because of the art and the queerness, but the story is also good, trust me! I like the matters discussed in season 2 the most, but I can also definitely relate to lots of in season 1.

I hope the author ever decides to pick the series up again, but I'd understand if not. I wrote a whole a** long comment on the last episode about that on Webtoon... you can read that there if you want.

6/5!
This is THE most wholesome book I've read this year, and possibly the last few years (with the exception of The Tea Dragon, probably). The artwork is beautiful and soothing, the music is one of the sweetest, and the story is absolutely what I needed. I love all the characters, and I want MORE. I can't stop gushing about it.

This webcomic is very unfinished (I'm guessing we're maybe a third of the way through? But who knows tbh.) but ahhhhhh I love it so much! And I NEED the next update NOW. Wisteria is so awkward, and also the sweetest purest human being, Lachlan is adorable, Cecily is amazing, and Puppy is sarcastic and hilarious! I LOVE THEM ALL!

I do feel sort of weird saying I finished this though... But whatever, I'm desperate!
