I adore Catherine Ryan Howard's writing style, rarely do I read one of her books in more than one sitting and this was no different. I really enjoyed the story but I wish it had a bit more umph to it like The Trap or The Nothing Man. I predicted the twist but it was still disguised well and didn't spoil my enjoyment of the book. Really gripping and had some good commentary on women's safety.

🎧 Really enjoyed this one. It was a fast paced, easy listen that kept me engaged. Loved how the storyline flipped from past to present an it really built the backstory. Its storyline is told from mainly Alison’s point of view with the odd exception here and there. It’s a well developed storyline with well developed likeable and unlikeable characters. There was some aspects that raised some questions but it didn’t take from the overall experience. The narrator did a great job. Catherine Ryan Howard sure knows how to weave an intriguing story that keeps you guessing.
