This book is one of the best books. It’s written beautifully and such an intellectual and easy read at the same time. If you stumble upon this book - just start reading, I really think there will be no regrets. Books nowadays do not impress me, but “Almond” did all the magic. I’m thankful for such a wonderful peace of quality literature.

"I was just unlucky. Luck plays a huge part in all the unfairness of the world. Even more than you'd expect."

It's an interesting look on human social skills and behavior. Yunjae's life is so complex yet he manages to expose the complexities of human connection and the value of uniqueness. He describes himself as a monster but I could never see him as one.

I just didn't get this. It didn't work at all for me and a few days after finishing, I can't even remember what the point of it was.
