There are important themes in this book and the structure is interesting; however, it was tough to get past how terrible practicing law the protagonists were. The topics covered are important, and it was nice to read a book willing to look at them, but there were many holes in the logic and the plot.

As someone who works in the field of gender based violence, I appreciated the accessible way the author unpacks big issues and still maintains a fun and twisty story that keeps you guessing throughout.
I really wanted to like this, and I love the theme and message, but it is just poorly written. Almost like it was written for an episodic tv show with a voice over.
