I blitzed through this book in one sitting. My first book by Lucinda Berry and I’m already on Amazon buying the rest of them! Would definitely recommend the audio book!

This fell a little flat for me, but I’m giving it 3 stars because it had me glued to my seat because I wanted to find out what happened. The final twist was a pleasant surprise, but I think there were many “promises” made during the book, hinting at underlying secrets that didn’t tie up at the end. I do enjoy the author’s writing and will be reading more of her work, but this story felt a little pointless to me.

This book started off with a bang, literally, and never let up! You won’t see the twist coming in this one!

Let me start this review by saying that I recently got a Kindle Unlimited subscription, and this was one of the options there. I am loving how many titles are included with the subscription, only about $10 a month. So considering the amount I paid for this book, I was impressed overall!
In “The Best of Friends,” we follow the lives of 3 women who have been best friends their whole lives and now have 3 sons who were involved in a tragic “accident” involving a firearm. Each chapter is told by a different one of the friends/mothers; multi-narrative is usually a style that I enjoy, and this was no different. At times, it was difficult to keep track of each character end their family members. There was even a point in the book with a typo when one of the narrators referred to her son with one of the other boys’s names
