Once again, Meyer demonstrates her incredible ability to give her books a happy ending. But this time, I was glad. I found this book to be creepy, exciting, romantic, infuriating, and touching. A few times I gagged a bit on the weird prose. Seriously, who croons? Only Frank Sinatra. It's not something you do when you're sad. But overall, I was drawn in and happy to be there.

I said I'd never read Stephenie Meyer, since I struggle through sappy and poorly written literature and can never finish it. However, she must have improved her writing, because I did like this one. There were parts that dragged a bit, drove me crazy, and were highly improbable. AND I expected more sci fi action and less human naturey introspection. That said, my interest was held enough to keep reading, even if it started off slower than I would have liked. And this heroine (or two heroines) were both interesting people. And strong, and not overly stupid. So that helped. I would recommend this to someone with the patience for a long and fairly emotional ride with less action and page-turning anguish than expected. I assume the movie has more action than the book, because the trailer looks exciting. But I dunno. It's good. Probably wont read again. I do like the premise.

In my top 5 favorite books of all time. A lot of people hate on Stephenie Meyer but I think this was beautifully written. I love the psychology/romantic issues and the plot is so angsty. Who doesn't love angst? I'm not so sure how this will turn out in movie format but we'll see...
In this book a different species is now taking over human bodies all over the Earth. One alien named, "Wanderer" has taken over Melanie's body. Once an alien takes oven the human body, all the human's thoughts and memories are gone. Except for when Wanderer is Melanie's body, Melanie is still there too. With two minds in one body things can get complicated.
I really liked this book, I thought that it was a very interesting idea for a book and I was entertained the whole way through the book. I just kept wanting to read page after page. I loved the complicated love story and I thought that it was well written book. I would definitely recommend reading this book!

Love it. It takes a while to really get into the story, but after about 100 pages in, I couldn't put this book down. :)
Just finished re-reading this again.
Loved it even more.
I have read this like, not lying, 20 times or something like that. I just love it so much.
It teaches you about real human feelings, and it makes you be grateful for the world as we have it right now, yes with a lot of problems and shit, but it is Our World at least. and whatever we are doing with it, is in OUR hands.
We are the ones here, and we must try, everday, to make it better.
One of the things a liked the most about this story is that it shows the two highest points: the total good and the complete cruel and none of them are acceptable for me, we must always find a balance. Living always in the good is not enough and living always in hate is not healthy.
The book makes you want to become a better person, a better human. And that's why I love it.
PD: Amo a Ian y Jeb. Jared puede arder en las llamas infernales por toda la eternidad. muajaj
