Loved this book! I'm not sure what took me so long to pick it up after enjoying Rices' books on Christ so much. She does a great deal of research and it showed in those books as well as Angel Time. The story of an assassin who has lost his faith and belief in God, and an angel that comes to help him restore his faith, and guide him to a life of redemption. Really good, will definitely be reading the next book in this series.
lacked substance. only made it through the first half before i gave up on it. little happened. It was too busy trying to shy away from her well known gothic horror themes, and didn't have any other interesting world or characters to show. The main character, a hitman, was someone that didn't have any personality and wasn't in any interesting situations.
A good read with a plethora of introspection, but you really don't get the sense of the book being finished at the end. If you'd enjoy the chance to peer into the very mind of a twisted killer on his road to redemption, this might be a book for you.
Una noia mortale, libro che non decolla, scrittura lenta e storia molto deludente.
Se gli angeli soppianteranno i vampiri tra i personaggi bestseller, non sarà certo merito di questo libro della Rice, che tra l'altro sembra iniziare una serie....

it hurt a little to click just 2 stars, but i had to. i love anne rice and have enjoyed her other books outside of the vampire series, but this one seemed to be missing some heart.
A ver, la historicidad... la angeología... pues un poquito mal. Lo normal en Rice.
La repetitividad, alta. ¿Cómo puede ser que varios capitulos consecutivos sean simplemente una señora contándole su vida al protagonista?

This was AWFUL. It's really hard to see how the same mind that produced the Lestat legacy and the Mayfair witches saga could've written this. I made it to chapter 3, and all of those pages were flowery descriptive passages about hotels and monasteries. I learned nothing about the protagonist except that he's a contract killer who likes to read and play the lute. This was beyond disappointing, and after the schlock that was "The Wolf Gift", I think I'm done reading any new works by Anne Rice.
I have never read anything by Anne Rice and I really liked this book. Great story, also no bad language, which was nice. Can't wait to read the next one in the series.
dark
I enjoyed the story, but it felt a bit hollow. The characters had potential, yet they lacked the passion needed to truly resonate. It was okay overall, though I believe that with deeper emotions, it could transform into something truly captivating. I'd love to see that added depth. ⭐⭐⭐de 5.
