This book was absolutely engrossing, I hated putting it down (actually pausing it) when the real world called. The miscarriage of justice done to Toni and Ryan was absolutely sickening. I do appreciate that the book didn’t end with all sunshine and flowers. The response from Toni’s mom and the fact that Ryan and Toni weren’t back together ended the book with a real life feel.

i was trying to finish this book because a dear friend recommended it. but i just did not like anything about it.

after 250 pages nothing murder-related had happened and i had to stop because i felt i was wasting my time.

no mystery or guessing game or anything other than the main protagonist being a victim of bullying in various life stages. it didn’t feel like it was building up to something, no suspense.

my friend told me the ending; the murderer was revealed at the very end so i would guess this book could have easily been under 200 pages.

Really great read, I really loved this book and never wanted to put it down.
I was not surprised who the real murderer was, but the extra accomplice was a surprise, as was their reason for helping in the murder and how far that they were prepared to go.
Wanted the end to go a bit longer, just so I could find out if there was a happy ever after. Guess it will have to be left to my imagination.

I like Chevy Stevens. It's the reason why I picked up this book to begin with, but I just couldn't get into it like I did her other books. It didn't grip me, draw me in, make me want to devour this book. Because of that, it was easy to put down. It was a decent enough read for me to want to pick it back up abs finish but not one I'd be quick to recommend.

I couldn't get past 60+ pages. It's just not an interesting read for me.

Great book and such a heartbreaking story. I listen to my books at work and I could not wait to listen to it. This was the quickest I have listened to a book.

Oh, how the emotions poured as I read this book. There were times I was worried about Toni and her friendships and relationship with her parents. There were times I had tears with the way Toni was being treated and how the death of her sister changed her path in life. There were times I was happy for Toni and proud of how she was handling the rough hand she was dealt. This was a quick read, I could not stand to put it down. I had to know what was going to happen next, would Toni ever be released from prison?
I have always loved a bad boy, Ryan fit that perfectly. The fact that Toni had a good family upbringing and was attracted to this bad boy made her so relatable to me. I disliked, but understood, that Ryan was a bad boy, in some part, due to his parent’s history, but there were things he did himself that gave him that label also. Toni and Ryan’s relationship was great. The sneaking out, the making out, and the teenage love between them was so real. I remember the first boy I thought I loved and could imagine all that I would have done to be able to see him.

I would recommend That Night to anyone looking for a fast paced thriller that is also a quick read.
