I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

I was absolutely squealing in delight when I spotted this book on Netgalley, this is one of the books in 2019 that I needed in my life, and now I had a chance to read it before the release date. Eep! Of course, I will still buy it as soon as it comes out.

I have loved Safely Endangered Comics for a long time now, I got hooked to it one day while browsing WebToons, and now I look forward to each time there is a new comic. Sometimes they don’t work (due to the topic) but generally I laugh my butt off while reading them. It helps that the artists makes the comics have a nice twist that at times you can see coming, but at times totally not. You expect it to go one way and then boom, something else happens.

Since I have been following this comic on WebToons for some time I am not sure if there were any new comics in this one or if they are all old ones. I can just say that I enjoyed them all. I also Whatsapped several to my fiance as he is also a fan of this comic and was just as excited as I was when I got the chance to read this one on Netgalley.

The art style is a very fun one and fits the silliness of the comics.

All in all, I can’t wait for this one to be released so I can add it to my collection. Now I can only hope more WebToon artists will also make a book with their comics.

Received via Netgalley in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.

Almost all of the times when I review a collection of comics, it's because I'm familiar with the comic, or with the artist. I didn't recognize the name, or the illustrations on the cover, but I decided to dive in and see if I'd found something to add to my embarrassingly growing tumblr feed of comics.

Yeah, you got me.

This comic series is ridiculous. You've got smart humor, dumb humor, dark humor, facepalm humor. Jokes poking fun at every species. Jokes that take you a second, and then you're staring into space and questioning your life choices.

This is a great book for those of us with a twisted sense of humor.

'Safely Endangered Comics' by Chris McCoy is a collection of short 4 panel comics with darkly twisted endings.

It's hard to describe this book without wrecking any of the punchlines, but they are dark and clever. In some cases, I had to pause before I got them. I laughed ironically at the dark fates of the poor characters.

I counted it actually; I smiled four times, chuckled once. Not my type of humor.
