So apparently Image Comics published at least one fairy-tale. Basically a variation on Sleeping Beauty and the Snow Queen but without a Prince and with some talking animals. Beautifully drawn with nice enough text. The trio of capybara, toad and owl are a little bit like Tarzan's friends in the Disney movie. So nothing is truly new here. But the hardback library edition is kind of stunning. Sure in the end it is a fairly predictable story (after all it is a fairy-tale), but a nice one.

Very beautiful art, classic yet predictable plot. But I don't mind that, it was a very nice story with a different sort of cute animal menagerie. However the art definitely carries the story. It makes for a nice display book.

This book is beautiful. I was so suprised that one man wrote and illustrated it. Jonathan Luna is a talented author but even more impressive were his illustrations. The images were so beautiful and unique. The details are excellent, but more than that was the simplicity of some of the drawings. This was a very cute yet deep story. I loved it.

Honestly, I'm not sure this is necessarily a bad book, so much as it was boring and the art did even help keep my attention.
