Interesting. And oooo naked dinner challenge. Plus more Hindu mythology. But it shows eurocentrism that the non European shifters are 1 evil and 2 idiots. Like that could’ve been executed way better and less insultingly

Ok, they got me bad. Curran and Kate banter and relationship is so much fun and found family chef kiss.

Another re-read/listen.

I enjoy a good urban fantasy and this one also has a post apocalyptic vibe along with a really unique take on the regular supernatural creatures (vampires, shifters, etc). The narrator does a good job and I think she embodies the FMC well. Each book seems to have it's own storyline that is concluded at the end of the book with a larger storyline running through all the books. This book ramps up the overlying storyline a bit more than the previous ones so it seems there will be a big conflict coming soon. The FMC is a total badass as well as sarcastic and sassy. The MMC is a bit of an alphahole and badass, but funny as well. The romance is slow burn and the tension between them is hot.  There is plenty of action in every book and the fight scenes are done well making it easy to visualise.
