One this about me is that I will always love a sapphic vampire. The prose and tension are of course exquisite. The naïveté sometimes pushes into stupidity which became frustrating. But overall this book is a classic for a reason - I love it and everything it has engendered!!

The Costello-Sullivan edition I read in grad school helped me understand the context as a learner. The Machado edition helped me emphasize the “subtext” as a teacher. 

A fun read that leaves me with lots of questions. I had a great time teaching CMM’s annotations as truth and then revealing the lie.
