Limpet finds himself dressed as a giant cucumber, defending Mrs Cricket's fairy fort against a mysterious robber and trying to help his dad run the ice cream shop alone while his mum's away for the week.
At the heart of the story is young Limpet, who worries a little too much, and through the adventures in each book, he learns something about handling his tendency to over-think things. Add to this a layer of humour, fantastic illustrations and a fun, exciting story, and you have a book you won't want to put down.
From Curtis the chicken to Limpet's interactions with his friends and sister to the over-the-top villains, there was so much in these stories that had me laughing. Not to forget Mrs Cricket and her fairy fort, which may or may not have fairies but definitely has some unusual plants.
