I was absolutely obsessed with this series as a teen and it still holds up. The plotting is excellent, the characters and their arcs are great. One thing that I wouldn't have realized as a teen is the political message in it surrounding the Ishballan war. Other themes as well are well done. I'm thankful I read this bc no doubt it shaped me. Very little of this aged poorly which is rather impressive given how one episode of Friends (which ppl are still obsessed with now) delivered so much psychic damage. HA said she wanted her message to be to not get numbed at injustice, we get told that we can't get outraged at everything, but to actually never lose that desire to make things right, hats off to her she did such a good job, J K R*whaterver could never
