McCabe does a nice job of addressing how Braden’s trauma has impacted their life through the narrative style. This, however, unfortunately makes the book hard to read as the plot is confusing and very difficult to follow.

I can't help but be smitten by Kitten. Cillian Murphy made this character so much more complex in the film. I have to say, Neil Jordan takes McCabe's prose and crafts into a richer product. I hope to see more collaborations betwixt the two.
