Another novella by Patrick McCabe where mental illness is a central theme. This time around our main character is Paddy Pussy, an Irish transvestite prostitute, who makes his way to London, to be on the game during The Troubles. Structured in short chapters - some no more than a paragraph long - and written in a wonderful vernacular Irish-English. If you've read McCabe's The Butcher Boy, I think you'll enjoy this shorter work.

Really interesting themes but I did not care for the way it was written. I do like that type of banter on stage tough so might try to find the movie.
