So, a fun fact about this book before we get to the review. This is the first Fear Street book I ever bought and read, and it's the one that started my young adult thriller obsession in my youth. Being the first one I ever read, I barely remembered it, which made for a fun experience. Okay, enough nostalgia, let's get to the review.

I was surprised in how much I enjoyed this one. Didn't think I would rate any of the fear street book more than 3 stars but this was definitely spooky fun. It's not very unique but was the perfect read right now

I found this book intriguing from the beginning, and I really wanted to know what was in the secret bedroom. I like the direction this book went, and I always appreciate when the Fear Street books include actual supernatural elements.

I read these when I was younger, so when I found a stack at Goodwill, I bought them all. I've been trying to convince my 11 year old to read them since she loves scary stuff.
The main character wasn't very likable, but it wasn't a bad story. It doesn't date itself too much either. I obviously didn't remember the plot and it didn't go where I was expecting. You can't go wrong with creepy houses, ghosts, murder, and possession. Not a bad re-read at all.

So I sat and read this for about an hour and half straight without stopping and I gotta say I enjoyed it. There were some twists and turns and even though I could guess the main goal of the "big bad", I do like how he made me guess about where her intentions lie. The main girl was your usual RL Stine trope final girl pretty but not too pretty, quietly confident and despite all the things she has going for her painfully shy. She was more likable then some of the other final girls. I really enjoyed it!

A great read! I saw the twist coming about Catherine being evil and actually hiding from her parents in the actual secret bedroom. Great twist though!
