Story written by doctor Sheppard, living in a quiet English town, along with his gossippy sick sister. A series of murders is being investigated by the Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot. Finally Poirot, through meticulous research and scrupulous monitoring of the hard facts, is able to expose the culprit. From the start the reader is led by the nose: the belief in the ubiquitous, truthful author is undermined! Certainly the best, most unexpected plot.
