Enjoyed this mystery a lot. It is a lot stronger than Christie's Mysterious Affair at Styles and Murder on the Links. The introduction of Dr. Shephard as our narrator was great, and he was a very interesting person to view the story through. Piorot is at his best, coming out of retirement, but still filled with strong ideas.

This book is not rated as one of Christie Agatha's best murder mysteries for no reason. Just as you think you have the novel figured out, something happens to make you change your mind. It kept me guessing page after page

Edit: I cannot believe I guessed this the first time. It's honestly amazing since I never try to guess and just enjoy the ride.

This still remains a great twist and a lovely set up. It was possibly the worst one to read first as it sets up Poirot in a manner I didn't like. My opinion changed later. I wish I read it at a different time

If I can guess the ending why bother?

It's Christie, it's not going to be anything but good, but the characters and the twist could've been better.
