'I began to think that Porrott couldn't be a hairdresser after all.'

What a thrill! Hercule Poirot is one of the most memorable characters in all of fiction. And Caroline Sheppard ranks nearby.

I forewent sleep to scoff down the ending - the term unputdownable lends itself to this 1926 work. Agatha Christie, you have a new fan. Highly recommended to everyone.

Hercule Poirot's deductive genius is on display in this well-constructed whodunnit. I give it five stars for invention but four stars for the personal pleasure it gave me in reading it.

Beyond that I will say no more.

4.5! I enjoyed this book, though not excessively. It’s a great read by Agatha Christie, and it's easy to see why it’s included in the list of 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die. Every detail aligns with each curiosity, making them all quite intriguing.
