Okay, the first book I loved the characters and romance enough to carry the fact that there was no plot, but after 2 books it's starting to drag a bit. The characters are still great and I love that we're getting to know more side characters, but there's nothing really happening! It's all just fluff, which is only enjoyable for so long. There are hints of some sort of conflict coming surrounding Cricket's power levels and Mabon, but after two fairly long books we should be further in than just hints of a conflict.

It's still a super cute, easy comfort read, so I can't see myself giving up on the series, but I seriously hope things pick up a bit in the next book. I know this review probably seems really negative for the star rating, but I just can't bring myself to rate it lower because it is still so nice to read. Maybe I just need to stop waiting for the pace to pick up and embrace it for what it is 😅

– heavy on the details despite it being day to day life
– i dont necessarily mind it but we're two books in and the big shebang (cricket's birthday) still isnt upon us
– i liked that they included POVs from their circle of friends outside of the harem
– this is turning to a cricket's close knit of friends story instead of just the four of them
– not heavy on the conflict the whole series is really just about them trying to make this rs work

We're here. Well, we're getting there!

One thing I'm coming to learn about Willow Hadley is that she likes to take her time and I'm trying to be okay with it. Thankfully her writing and the characters make that pretty easy even if I believe the Charlotte Reynolds series is still better in comparison. I honestly can't wait to get to her birthday in the next book! I just really hope it doesn't happen until the end.

Just as sweet and adorable as the first one!

There’s a lot that develops relationship wise, friendships outside of the pack, and we get to spend more time with their families and learning about werewolf packs and witches; there isn’t a ton of conflict (aside from exes making appearances but resolves pretty quickly and smoothly), like you’d see in a traditional romance (especially PNR) and it continues to be a very slow burn, so if you’re looking for something action packed or fast paced this isn’t it. But if you’re looking for absolutely endearing, doting guys that adore their girl this absolutely is it.

I absolutely love that Cas ends up being the absolute most romantic & Hollis ends up being the best at physical affection, from their initial introductions I thought for sure Hollis would be the romantic & Cas would be the one to panty-melt lol. And despite being the confident alpha, Theo is in his head a lot and it makes him much more likable & relatable.

Nothing plot-related really happens? Introduces and gives different people's perspectives.

Her birthday is not in this book, sadly. That occurs about halfway through the third book.

As with all of Willows books, Wildflower, is spectacular! I love the different POVs, even the side characters. Looking forward to the next installment! A little sad I read it so fast!
