I keep telling myself that Steven King books aren’t worth it, but I always want to read more horror and he’s the main option. Too much sex/profanity to be enjoyable, but the basic premise is interesting. Appeals to people who have been bullied.

Wow! I can see why this as a first novel made king as popular as he is.

I love how it's written with using source material to show different perspectives!

Honestly wasn't very intrigued by the first half of the book, only kept going because it was such a quick read. Would've given 2 stars, but the post-prom destruction redeemed the book for me. The mind-communication, connection between Carrie and Susie and religious fanaticism interested me the most, and I wish Stephen King would've dove in more than he did. Of course details are left to the imagination and questions are left unanswered, but sometimes I want the author to just tell me. This is a story I believe may be better told in film than as a book...but I'll have to watch the movies to tell!
