See How She Dies

Lisa Jackson

3.22 AVERAGE

This one has two sides - a suspenseful story about a long-lost heiress to fortune and fame and a romantic relationship. The portion of the story that was surrounded around Adria discovering her genetics, and identifying if she was the kidnapped girl from a wealthy family was very interesting. The number of people who wanted her gone was endless and you never really knew who was trying to prove her wrong. But the romantic sections of this story - really not it. Adria falls in love with her potential half brother, Zachary. The whole, incestual romance line was just gross. The way he treated her despite “being in love” with her was super manipulative, abusive, and just down right disgusting. I liked half of this book and disliked the other half. I think this is the first Lisa Jackson book I’ve read that I’ve been on the fence about.

This is a reread for me so I listened on audio. Not a fan the second time around...the fact that they had all of this money and couldn't do a DNA test made this book drag. Also not a fan of the love interest storylines without giving away too much.

This book was predictable. I would not recommended

1.5*

Ugh. The description sounded promising and it started fine, but then it got progressively worse. Very poorly edited. I'll just leave it there.

This was painful to get through. I started skipping the sex scenes because they grossed me out. I just....no.

This was a decen book. I probably would have given it a higher rating if it wasn't so long, it made it drawn out.
