Oh my God this book. The tremendous amount of tears I shed on it. The amount of times I sobbed. How much sympathy I felt for the character and understood her. This book is one that I would say genuinely touched my heart. The way the character describes her feelings and thoughts and the way she’s constantly thinking of her mother and talking about how different it would be if she was still with her. Omg. Until around halfway through the book, I did get slower reading it but then… it was just amazing. And heart wrenching. But I did cry at almost every page since the beginning of the book and regretted starting this book because it was painful. Some of her thoughts were really relatable to a person who has lost a loved one. But It also made me realize the blessing of my religion. The way in Islam we are aware of where the good person ends up after death, and how well meet them again in the hereafter in jannah. The peace that that information is truly a blessing that the character obviously lacked, which made me feel every more sorry for her. However the ending of this book was absolutely amazing and left me really satisfied as I always worry about the ending and where the character is at the end of stories. Definitely a book I would love to recommend yet not at the same time because it’s torturing.
