Why listen to this if I'm not a "fan"? Because the podcast I love is covering it and I didn't want to miss out. She is talented, she had a tough relationship with her parents, & her intro got me excited. Squash the rumors and tell us how amazing ice cream is. Absolutely!

... 48 hours later I'm done. Sure she is one-of-a-kind and had some interesting stories to share. I had a few issues though. First, this memoir could have been about 300 pages less if and editor had helped with the movie sections. I did not need to know every cinematographers name or the reason behind each miniscule directing decision. It was too much. Second, folks like to get mad about "famous people sharing their political views", yet I haven't heard many complaints about this one. There was a LOT in here concerning politics. But go ahead and attack Taylor Swift folks. Third, did I hear correctly that she cloned her dog??!! Obviously Babs and I live very different lives.

I think I was hoping for a different book. More about her relationship with her mother, or her son. I wanted more about stage fright and overcoming her fears. Instead I learned that she is one of the few in Hollywood who adores Marlon Brando. Go figure. On to the podcast.
