It was a perfect beach read of a mystery that took some fun twists and turns but it was nothing groundbreaking or unique. The character development left something to be desired but I don’t think this book was ever meant to be an in depth character study or anything.

Je découvrais Mary Higgins Clark avec ce livre et c'est une réussite. Elle arrive à garder le suspense jusqu'au bout, c'est très bien fait.

I didnt like the book. I dont like anyone copying Agatha Christie's perfect characters and messing with them. Here Alvira's character is similar to that of Miss Marple and it was a very bad copy.

This was a 3.5 stars for me. Solid mystery and the first appearance of Alvira and Willy, who are very likable characters for me. The culprit wasn’t hard to guess and I knew really early on who it would be. However the story overall held my attention. Good read.

I didn't see it coming... The lady kept guessing who did it until the last chapter where only one detail reveals the murderer.. it was a real spider web, great book

I was nervous that this would worry me and scare me because I worry too much, but I found that it was intriguing and I wanted to see who did it. I had my suspicions and was right but it was not creepy like I thought it could be.
