I was sold on this book when I saw this adorable cover. I mean come on! But it is what's inside that counts and that was adorable too. I believe this is marketed as enemies to lovers, but its more like one person is annoyed with the other, and the other is clueless as to why to lovers. I love the premise of the book, I love that this featured a plus size heroine and I really loved the fact that there was no fat shaming or fat phobia. I thought the boudoir photography aspect was fun and I love that I haven't read anything like it. As someone who loves Chicago I thought the setting added the story. I really liked both MC; Cassie was confident, and smart. I love how much Reid desired her and there were some steamy times to prove it. I did like the relationship, although I will say there was a lot of mis/non communication and I did not like that. There was a fun and diverse friend group that I loved and I can't wait to see if they will get their own books too someday.

This book had a lot of really great things. I really enjoyed how they discussed their different backgrounds and identities and how it really felt realistic that the main character, Cassie would feel that there was an excess onus on her to teach her boyfriend things he didn’t know. It is never the responsibility of BIPOC people to educate someone just for their ignorance. I do think that the story was very cool and sex positive and I would actually really love a studio like this. I also really enjoyed the story being located in Chicago. All that to say, I think that the pacing was a bit slow in the beginning, and the love didn’t develop in the most realistic way. I almost felt like it was an Insta attraction, which isn’t my favorite. In the end, I think it is a really solid read and worth giving a shot.
I really tried to keep reading and going but it’s just not for me. The main character is fine, even has potential to be great but god the love interest? EWW. We get it, you’re a big artistique photographer man who wants to take serious photos and hasn’t gone to therapy and finds everything sexy.

I enjoyed this book. The characters were wonderfully created. I loved Cassie and the Buxom Boudoir crew. My one hang up with this book is that things at time felt rushed or jumpy in the plot line. Somethings could have been given more time, but otherwise I had a good time reading this book
