This was a great story. Kind of disappointed that much of the romance was behind the scenes. There were romantic moments but it seemed Ianthe and Robert didn't spend enough time together for much romance to form. Which is why I was surprised that at one point he claimed to be distracted by thoughts of her.

With what the back cover said/alluded to, I expected them to be married well before they were. Granted they weren't married near the end of the book, but with the title of this book and again with what the back cover said, I expected it to be within the first couple of chapers. I was grateful for the time jump, otherwise the marriage would have taken place later.

There was a moment where I got confused, and that was when Ianthe said that she didn't believe what Robert had told her. But when he told her, she made no mention of the fact that she didn't belive him. Not out loud and not even to herself. So, I was completely under the impression that she believed him.

Also what happened with Charles Lester to me seemed anticlimactic -- the end of it anyway.

Overall this was a good book.
