Pace was too slow for me and the characters were interesting but I didn’t care enough about them to finish.

This has been on my to-read list for ages and I’m glad I finally got around to it. I love films and books about cowboys and outlaws and while the writing style doesn’t come anywhere near the likes of Cormac McCarthy, the plot is great and the cast of characters (queer, women, non-binary, POC) is refreshingly diverse and makes the story unique.

Small criticism but I thought the final paragraph was bizarre and unnecessary (a bit if a twee way to close the book).

I wanted her to shoot more guns on purpose. At people. To kill them.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Definitely an interesting one for me. I have never read a country western book before and was recommended by Reese’s book club! I thought the main character was pretty average and was much more interested in learning about other members of the hole in the wall gang. I enjoyed the pace of the book as well as the heists!!

The Wild, Wild West being ruled by the “unruly”. Seems like we’ve seen this a thousand times?

Not quite like this. Ada and the rest of The Kid’s crew grab your heart strings. And you’ll be rooting for them the entire way. I don’t know if I just have a thing for the underdog, but I could not help but adore every character that joined them.

I hope that we can expect more books along these lines or hell, I think this book would be an amazing movie!
