 I honestly am struggling to rate this. I wasn't really into the closed door mystery aspect of this, as it felt played out but in the end my feeling about this book were positive. It took me a while to get into this but the ending was redeeming for me. I imagine there are people who had trouble "believing" the twists but if you just go for the ride it's enjoyable.

I’m going to be honest here.  The reason I’m giving this four stars is because I appreciated having no idea what was happening or who was doing the killing or why.  So many suspects, so many murders and so much chaos and confusion.  I can see definite Agatha Christie inspiration in this book and I don’t mind it.  I appreciate the atmosphere and setting created in the story.  Mysterious, thriller and old fashioned who done it all in one.  It’s not my favorite Riley Sager book but it was a fun ride.

the story itself made me want to keep reading. I love a good who dunnit. However, the idiocy of the main female character, Anna, is what brought the score down. She is constantly aghast that her captives would murder each other to save their own skin. Or that her partner would go against her wishes of everyone stays alive. The naïveté is frustrating. Her sudden forgiveness of Dante was also disappointing.
