Viper’s Fate was a fast paced and suspenseful story! The murder mystery aspects paired really well with the crime syndicate style backstory for the main character! It enhanced the tension of the building relationship between Jel and her men as secrets were revealed and lives threatened.

One of my favorite parts of this story was how their pack built. With the hints dropped about Theo and Jace’s physical history. And having Jace take the lead as the instigating Alpha to pull both Luc and Theo into the open relationship between the four of them instead of all three men focusing solely on Jel. I am a sucker for relationship dynamics like that, and getting to watch them build toward that over the span of the story made it feel very rewarding when they finally accepted the fated matching between them all!

The plot twists were also a highlight in this story for! They built the suspense without overwhelming you with endless questions from the beginning! And the plot point involving her brother?!? I was sobbing for her!

Definitely a great read!

I immediately got sucked into Jel's story. It is very well written and descriptive. This paranormal RH romance has darker elements. I really enjoyed the ABO elements and the related steam.

Four alphas drawn together by fate. What could possibly go wrong? Murder? Mystery? Mayhem? What about all three?

The Viper's Fate opens with a whole lot of mystery and intrigue that will have you speed reading to find out what happens next.

It's like a book jigsaw puzzle. You get so many bits and pieces of everyone's backstory and clues that you need answers to and slowly the story unfolds and puts them together to form the bigger picture.

I love murder mysteries and it's been a long time since I read one and this is the perfect combo of suspense, mystery, and romance.

There are so many unusual concepts in this book (or to me anyway) and I absolutely adored them. I won't be saying what because spoilers but if you love a paranormal story that differs from the regular norm then this is the book for you!

ARC REVIEW

I was fortunate enough to get an advanced copy of Jade Bones’ newest book, Viper’s Fate. This is a stand-alone, why choose, fated-mates, dark fantasy romance. Please check your trigger warnings before starting. Jel is heir to the Viper’s family and gang and has fled because she wants no part in what they stand for. She is enrolled in college under a fake name and has been able to stay under the radar. A painting of hers gets picked to be apart of a showcase the school is doing and Jel cannot let it be seen. Not only is it lewd especially for a religious school, she has also tied her alpha energy and soul to it. She goes to a party at her TA’s house to steal her painting when the 3 men she painted are there in person. She can feel the tug on her soul that these 3 alphas are fated mates of hers but how can 3 alphas be mated to another alpha. During the party, a murder happens that is very similar to a massare her family executed 10 years ago. Is Jel being set up to take the fall? This book was a lot of fun to read. I wish the conflict didn’t last the entire book and that there were more spicy scenes. I could have gone for more group scenes and MM details. I thought the way the world was developed was beautifully done and did a great job at making it easy to follow.
