Tricia Levenseller never disappoints! Just like her other book The Shadows Between Us, this is being added to my all time favorites! The story was incredibly unique, fast paced with a little bit of romance and a characters who were flawed and interesting. There wasn't a moment in this book where I was bored and all I could think when I finished it was that I wish there was so much more. I don't know how I'm going to wait for the second one to come out!
Loved this so much. Ziva is so relatable, 10/10, would read again.

It was fantastic I love this author like always been here since Daughter of the Pirate King and I will be here till she's done writing!
A fun and interesting read but if the main character continues to get upset with her love interest over all these little things imma get real fuckin annoyed. The last 5% of the book had me rolling my eyes because of course she’s upset with him and ugh just ugh with that shit.
if loving YA books by Tricia Levenseller is wrong, I don’t want to be right
Solid 3 star, purely because of how much I HATE the fmc. The fact that she was an overprotective, worrisome, annoying, irritating bitch when her sister fought literally anything, UGH. She pissed the living shit off of me. The plot was qui8te interesting though, and I loved the dynamics between the citizens and the different kingdoms and the discrimination and just overall the world building. And I appreciate the change up in the stereotypical brooding, moody, dark, strong mmc, to this kind, scared of being vulnerable, family man. I pretty much loved everything about this book other than the fmc, who was enough to drop this to 3 stars for me.
It was a great book with some interesting twists and it was definitely a page turner but I think it is targeted for a younger audience. Regardless I loved the romance and friendship that form
