The book got better the more I read it, I think I am Eileen. I liked the last three chapters but it was such an effort to read

sort of disappointed by this one; brought on a very bleak, slow mood which I suppose is what the author was going for, but it wasn't written in an interesting way. I only truly got into this in the last 70 pages and if the whole book had been more like that in terms of storytelling, I would have enjoyed it a whole lot more.

I absolutely adore this book. I can’t wait to read everything else Sally Rooney has written. I felt like I was hanging out with the characters the whole time, and now I am going to miss them!!

A book that seems to be consciously written for book people (and I don’t mean that in a good way).
