This novella is a prequel to a new series and was just long enough to tell a story and to grab my interest. I have so many questions about Parker and his magic and Officer King and his alchemy. I will definitely be picking up the first book in the series because I am intrigued.
The author offers this story as a freebie for signing up for her newsletter but I received it as part of the Winter Wonderland giveaway from January 2021.
