This book was so heartbreaking, but so powerful in its message. This story follows a young girl struggling with an eating disorder and suicidal thoughts. Stevie was struggling before the death of her brother, the only one who seemed to notice she was struggling, but after an accident that Stevie blames herself for, she feels entirely hopeless. She plans to commit suicide on the anniversary of Josh's death, but she is sent to an eating disorder treatment facility about a month before that date.
This book was definitely difficult to read because it was very explicit in Stevie's thoughts about herself and life in general. If you are in the right headspace, I think this is a powerful book about grief and hope.

I was looking for a dark book and this somewhat fulfilled my expectations but I heard it was alot more of a challenging read than it was. It was a okay book but sort of underwhelming because it didnt end how I expected. I enjoyed it but it could have been more developed.

It was a great book. Not the best I've read, but a good one. I had little troubles to love the characters, but I did love the story. The past intertwined with the present... The character development was really present. Following Stevie throughout every step of an ED recovery AND grieving was really interesting. I liked it. During my reading, I could see the message that was transmitted by the characters, etc. It is okay to feel emotions, we just need to find balance.
We are all a little fucked up.
