This book was freaking adorable.
I mean, there's not a huge amount of conflict. It's almost a comfort read. Set in a Ren Faire. It's awesome.

This was such a cute story! I am in such a mood to go to a Ren Faire right now, which just shows how wonderfully written this atmosphere and setting was. This was a cute take on enemies to lovers and I really enjoyed how Emily and Simon's story played out. Not too much steam throughout, other than one particularly steam steam scene. I loved seeing Emily's development and how she fought to get out of her own head and expectations and standup and fight for herself and her future. I loved all the other characters too and I already cannot wait to read the next book and return to Faire!

This book was so cute. I mean who doesn’t love pirates. Simon is charming if not sometimes annoying, and DeLuca really woos you with her writing. So excited to read the next book

This book was so much fun and the perfect escape. I loved the idea of the story being revolved around a Renaissance Faire, it felt very believable and I really enjoyed experiencing the Faire with Emily for the first time. Simon wasn't perfect but I think that added to the story. The dynamic between Emily and her sister and niece was refreshing and some of their intereactions were among my favourite parts of the book.

Looking forward to reading the others in the series!

This brought back fond memories of going to a renaissance fair as a young girl in California.

Warning: a bit of steaminess that can be easily skipped over. :-)

I knew I was going to love this book the moment I learned it takes place at a renaissance fair. Emily and Simon were so cute. This was a pretty light-hearted read. I always appreciate a lower stakes romance. I especially enjoyed all their role playing moments as the tavern wench and the sexy pirate.
