i don't usually pick up adult romances books and even rarer for me to read a book while in class but this book made me do it.

you could never go wrong with the angst of this one. i bawled and even though this is still not my genre, i enjoyed this a lot because second chance romances that's executed beautifully punches the gut—my gut. i went in blind, not really expecting anything, so i never thought i'll like this one.

Having enjoyed The Birthday List I was keen to read this one and again opted for the audiobook of this. I loved the premise of this one as well and it made for a very strong storyline. The book was brilliant, everything about it - the setting, the characters, and the family dynamics made for a 5-star read for me.

Molly and Finn the reader has already met in book 1, and as a divorced couple both are trying to navigate their lives now longer in their marriage. I was so interested in finding out what had happened between them and how things were going to go with them as they had different ideas about life in the future. They can now after more than 5 years apart deal with their children and their lives more easily and after a drunken night where they sleep together, they decide that seeing as they are both lonely to continue secretly sleeping with each other as its familiar and what they both need at this time.

Letters start to appear in Molly's letter box and it becomes clear that these are letters Finn has written in the past from their initial meeting to the lead-up to their separation. These letters Finn wrote to himself and they were never intended to be shared, they contain his internal feelings and neither Molly nor Finn knows who is sending these letters to Molly. The content of the letter further complicates their relationship and things become increasingly difficult for them to continue sleeping together.

I loved Finn and Molly as characters, both trying to deal with difficulties they have faced, and slowly they start to understand each other's emotions in the past and the present, and listening to each other becomes something they find strengthens their connection again.

There are lots of characters we met in Book 1 here in this one and it was nice to be back amongst them again.

A beautiful, romantic story with such an attractive premise and I loved their story of healing and love.
