Well, I was right to be intrigued by Molly and Finn because holy hell was this a fantastic story. There is something to be learned about the message in this. I was so invested in knowing why the letters were being sent and furthermore knowing who was sending them. I liked what the messages forced these two to deal with. It hit home in so many ways. It made me reflect on my own divorce and see areas that I could have improved or that we could have improved (and no, that ship has sailed but it still gave me food for thought and a lessoned learned.

I did have some issues with what came out from Molly and her confusion. Seemed like that would have led to more of a discussion. I, also, wanted further clarification on what Molly had seen as it raised questions for me if it was planned or what. I liked the intention behind the lessons learned but the timing seemed weird to me. However, these things were just me being picky. It just seemed like a long time to wait to make a move.

This portion of the review was read from the boxset.

This was a fabulous follow up to The Birthday List. The "letters" premise was a unique and powerful way for Molly and Finn to address their hurt and love. I appreciated the involvement of the kiddos in the storyline as well. I adored seeing all the beloved characters from the first book.

I am quickly becoming a huge fan of this author.

“He’s a good man Savannah”

Oh, and why yes he is. Let me start by saying I adore them. For one, I absolutely loathe the miscommunication trope. I can’t stand it, but this was perfect.

Molly and Finn had a lot history, too much to just move on. Their love for each other was always there and not just because of their kids. So when the ball finally dropped between them and they began to reconcile I was scared. Don’t get me wrong, I knew they’d end up together I mean… it’s a romance book, but they had so much to discuss. Between them, there was so much hesitation with good reason, but it all worked out.

One thing I must say is the communication!!! They went from miscommunication to pure golden communication. It couldn’t have gotten better than this. They didn’t leave any stone unturned which I loved!!! Thank you for sending out those letters ****, best thing that’s ever happened to them!

Now, I absolutely adored Finn, the second he realized what he wanted he didn’t stop. He wanted his family back and took his time to make sure Molly knew he was in it for the long run. Molly girl, she’s just as great too. She’s so resilient and kind, and I’m glad she got her family back. She deserved a lot more than she gave herself credit for. I just love them both, ugh!! Thank gosh it only took them 6 years to realize they love each other still, lol.

Well, this story pulled my heartstrings, like was the ending necessary!? I was tearing up at 4am because they told the kids their story 20 years later… I’m still not okay

Molly and Finn... well, from the first book, it was made clear how much they loved each other. So, when I started this book, I was a little worried how it would develop. And it was an amazing, tear inducing (for me at least) love story. Either I am extremely emotional or just needed a good cry, because tears flowed for far too much of this book.

This second chance romance was so heartwarming and written so well! Just seeing the journey of Molly and Finn healing and starting over it was just so raw and real. The story was beautiful getting to see into the their history of the happy times but also the bad time and how they finally let go and forgive.
