First book of Sheila’s I’ve read after hearing Chris Evans recommend her books, and so pleased I did. She’s so right about our politicians, they have lost touch with the people. Honest, thought provoking all the clichés and so good!

Such an entertaining memoir, full of wisdom, wit and character covering the years from 2016-2021, when well-known British actor and star of theatre and television, Sheila Hancock (aged in her late 80s), shares her thoughts during the tumultuous years of Brexit and Covid. Sheila doesn’t mince words in giving her opinions on the state of world and national affairs, while at the same time coping with advancing age (which doesn’t please her either). Sheila has led such a fascinating life and she writes so well about it. And although she does rage about many things (don’t we all?), I found the book full of charm, and most of all very interesting and insightful.

The ramblings of an old woman, but how delightful!

I like her but I found this too opinionated even though I share her opinions!
