One of the best series I have read! A well thought out story. Do yourself a favour and read these books.

The story here was better than the first one. I kept on expecting for someone to turn on Charma or for someone to betray someone else as a plot point. Luckily this didn't happen and the story was pretty good, both the relationship and battle. The erotica doesn't start until about 1/2 way through so be ready to read a little story. I tend to think that this is the best of erotica.

So great erotic shifter romance story. 4 to 4 1/2

Another great steamy PNR, the third in [a:Laurann Dohner|3190846|Laurann Dohner|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1285546473p2/3190846.jpg]'s Mating Heat series, which revolves around the dark and gorgeous sons and nephew of a werewolf Alpha of the notorious 'Harris Pack', starting with [b:Mate Set|9293970|Mate Set (Mating Heat, #1)|Laurann Dohner|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1313347743s/9293970.jpg|14176532].

This was my favourite of the three novels which make up the series to date. It can be read as a standalone novel, but the story picks up directly after the events of xxx and makes references to events and characters from the previous two novels. There's more cat shifters, lots of passion and a nicely paced plot, if fairly straightforward. Brand and Charma were easy to warm to and you felt the weight of the circumstances that led to all their decisions both in the past and when they got back together.

Brand (werewolf nephew to the Harris pack Alpha) never got over the loss of beautiful half were-leopard, half human - Charma he met and fell in love with at College. He's lived a half life ever since, never able to give his heart and mate a female pack wolf. Charma lives with the regret of running out on Brand, but she had no choice, promised to her pride Alpha's son as a mate to safeguard the future of her entire family she's stuck in a loveless and abusive mating, but at least her family is safe. Nine years later circumstances throw the lovers back together and this time, nothing will tear them apart.

I listened to this on audible and really like the narration, good pacing and the narrator was good at doing a nice gruff male voice and making various males speaking distinguishable between each other during dialogue.

Hopefully there will be more books in this series as the stories of several of the Harris brothers remain untold, but hinted at in the series to date.

I didn't like this one as much as the other 2 books. I did not like Brand. I hated that he called her hun or hon whatever I had the audiobook so idk how Dohner spelled it but I hated it. It sounded like he was talking to a child. And I really didn't like Charma either. I get why she left but I don't get why she didn't look for him when it was safe. Also the fact the Brand immediately was cool with her pissed me off.
