Every single chapter we get a new “fairest, peerless, and prettiest lady in all the world” and most of the “handsome and attractive” men turn out to be girls in disguise. Great book, all things considered.

Satire, Spoof, and Philosophy meet to great effect. A bit long, but fun as a collection of a false history. Like Mel Brooks, Monty Python, and Austin Powers, it becomes very self aware in the final act (maybe even the entire second book, since it had the first book published in the second book).

My mother forced me to read this in Spanish in middle school. I also got quizzed on it. Now, I can say it was worth learning about this literary classic. Thanks mom.

Finally finished the book that never ends. I'm sure someone was adding new chapters to it as I slept. Don Quixote you sure a funny bugger but you don't half go on.
