Corinne Michaels is one of my go-to authors. I have devoured everything that she's written! Fight for Me is the second book in her Arrowood Brothers series, and I absolutely loved it!

Declan and Sydney were high school sweethearts, and had their future planned out. But because of family circumstances, Declan breaks up with her and leaves. For the next eight years. After his father's death, he must return, and face not only his past, but Sydney and the way that he left.

I loved both Declan and Sydney. I felt everything that they felt throughout the story! I loved their chemistry and just how hard they fought for each other.

I highly recommend Fight for Me~ and I cannot wait for the next book in this series!!

Wow Declan was infuriating! Obviously he adored Sydney but he was beyond stubborn. I don’t feel like Sydney put him in his place enough either. The love was apparent but Declan’s refusal to allow Sydney to love him was just sad. Everything came together in such a great way but their struggle was difficult and drawn out.

I'll be honest Declan, could have had a wake up call a lot sooner. His inability to fight for her after so many chances she gave him frustrated me to no end!

I love a good second chance romance, and it was a good story, but it just didn't reach the great story level even with the dramatic ending.

I totally wasn’t sold on Declan for the first half and thought he’d be the one Arrowood brother I didn’t like (there’s always one in Corinne’s series) but he has redeemed himself. Excited for Sean and Devney’s book

All the angst… on repeat again, and again, and again….

Boy meets girl, boy falls in love and gets girl, boy breaks her heart brutally and then disappears for 8 years, returns and continues to break her heart over and over…. That’s the first 60% of the book. Be prepared for the same exact angst fest over and over and over. Like Groundhog Day.

After reading the first book in this series, I knew I would read the rest. Just like with Come Back for Me, I LOVED Fight for Me. I adored Sydney and while I was frustrated with Declan, I loved him too. I love second chance romances and this one was perfect. In Corinne Michaels fashion, I felt every emotion. I laughed and I cried and was so happy for Sydney and Declan by the time we got to the end. I definitely recommend this series!

Declan, Declan, Declan, why did you have to go and fuck things up with Sydney? Sorta jk because I know why he said he did it, but they were for dumb reasons. Plus, I loved their second chance romance story so without him fucking up there would be know second chance lol. I am glad he was able to get his head out of his ass and actually allow himself to be with Sydney. Also, love that his brothers were Team Sydney and never treated her different. Overall, their story was so cute and a perfect small town, second chance romance.

trope(s): second chance romance, accidental pregnancy, small town romance

Corinne is a pro at evocative writing. It’s almost guaranteed to rip your heart out. You’ll get it back by the end of the story, but you’re going to process some serious angst along the way.

Each of the Arrowood brothers walks through life with the heavy trauma from everything their father made them endure. Declan, having been the oldest, was the protector. He’s carried the weight of keeping his brothers safe and secure since their mother died and it’s slowly eaten away at him.

Declan and Sydney are a an intense second chance romance. Getting to their HEA was a wild ride, but one absolutely worth taking.
