I don’t think I can rate this book without giving it a review, I went into Releasing 10 not liking Lizzie after her actions that took place in Taming 7, but also went in with an open mind that my feelings towards her would change (they did). This book was extremely raw and emotional and gave a proper insight into why Lizzie acts the way she does, her story is truly heartbreaking, there were a lot of raw and almost graphic scenes that took place in this book and whilst they were hard to read and get through I understand why Chloe wrote them the way she did. In order to truly understand what Lizzie has been through her trauma needs to be explicitly written and not just glossed over, what happens in this book also occurs in real life, you aren’t meant to feel comfortable reading it because what occurs in the book is disturbing. Anyways, we are able to read about Hugh and Lizzie’s relationship and how it grew over the years, I really appreciate how detailed it was as I feel this was missing from Taming 7, we were able to feel all of their emotions and have a true understanding of what they were going through as both individuals and a couple. Hughie also really suprised me, as he’s been more of a side character so far in the series we don’t know much about him, but he truly is a perfect match for Liz. He’s a softer soul and undyingly loyal which is exactly the kind of person that Lizzie needs, I loved being on their journey and reading about their story and desperately need to see how it develops from here. Overall make sure to read the trigger warnings as the contents in this book are the heaviest so far in my opinion, which is saying something considering how depressing all the books have been so far.

This was a harrowing read
There's lots of plot holes from previous books that they added here that either adds to unreliable narrator or are forgotten during the series
But yeah, it's intense and a horrifically sad read
