{My thoughts} – In this all new adventure in Fairytale Land – Abby and Jonah get a lesson in wish making. It starts with Abby having problems with a read-a-thon at school, she wants to win so that she can choose the books that get ordered for the school library, however, she has only read nine books, needs to finish a tenth and has lost her ambition. It’s the last night to read the books for it and she’s decided that her and Jonah are going to go through the magic mirror instead. She is hoping that they will be able to find a solution to their current problem.

Once they drop through the mirror it doesn’t take them long to figure out which fairytale they are in and they are kind of happy about it being Aladdin. Jonah however, did his initial it must be Jack and the Beanstalk routine, and then when it wasn’t he wasn’t as sad as he has been in the past books. I guess that’s mainly because this particular faitytale isn’t overly girly since it is revolved around Aladdin and the choices that he make.

I was pleasantly engrossed in this book and I had a hard time putting it down, even if for a few minutes. It did however, end up taking me longer to read it then I had though it would since I kept getting distracted. Over all though I found it to be a great addition to the series. It helped to further the storyline while introducing the readers to a whole other fairytale. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

We read the first eleven books in this series, and I highly recommend them (if you have a little one who's amenable to princess stuff).

This one is definitely in my top three for the series. The twists and turns are pretty great. My 6 yr old & I had a lot of fun reading this one together.

Super cute and fun listen with a twist to the Genie twist of the story and to have a rookie like genie who called herself a 'baby genie' was super adorable and without giving too much away with this one, I enjoyed this next installment of the Whatever After series and so excited to finish the rest of this series!

For mom's who are looking for any good books to read to their kids or for your kids in general, these are the perfect books for boys and girls who can relate to both Abby and Jonah and the humor is spot on for kids that even got me chuckling at once in a while and smiling, clean stories, good morals, and super adorable! These are seriously a must read series to your kids but if you like fairytales in general that are retellings and/or fractured even, these are for you and even though I'm not married with no kids yet, even I'm enjoying these a lot and feel like not only can I say I can recommend these to future moms for any books for their kids, but at the same time it's kind of like a recommendation to me as well for my own future kids and now nieces and nephews now that I have my very first niece as of January of 2022 and also making her the first grandchild for both families, I'm now wanting and hoping to collect these in the future and read them to my adorable niece of mine and one day to a now expecting niece or nephew coming near the end of the year! :D

- This book wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. I liked it, but it is one of those books that sits right in the middle of a rating scale. It is enjoyable, but I think I'm getting burnt out on this series.

- I really liked the twist on genie in this book. It was fun to see the genie learn new tricks, and she had a fun personality.

- Aladdin seemed really young. I felt like he wasn't much older than Abbey.

- The story was a fun play on the original story. I never know how things will change in these stories, but I'm always pleased.

- I'm still curious about Maryrose and what happened to her. Will I ever get to find out? Does this series end?

These are starting to feel like A Series of Unfortunate Events where every book is basically the same, but with different characters.
